I like to ski but don't like the cold. That really messes with my head. But you do you. I'll wave at you sitting in the warm lodge while I am freezing my a** off on the chairl...wait a minute. I'm joining you in the lodge. Where's the hot chocolate?
I love this story! Your humor always delights. And I might have learned a thing or two about saying no and saying it without shame. So thanks, Zach. I can't wait to read your book!
Right there with ya! When I moved to CO, I tried to ski, and hated that the gear was so heavy. Walking around in those boots made me feel like Robocop. "Dead or alive, you're skiing with me". I only went once. Snowshoeing isn't much better. That felt like a dream where you're trying really hard to get somewhere walking, and you get 2 feet in a dreamtime hour. Hell, I don't even like hiking on mud in the Spring, as any seasoned park volunteer will tell you to hike IN the mud, stay ON the trail, and don't cause erosion, you beast! Yep, give me 65 degrees, full sun, and a gentle breeze, and then I'll throw on my Merrell's....
